First, thanks for all the feedback on the new blog design. I absolutely love how it looks here now. Totally different, totally fresh, easier to read (IMO), and the WP upgrade has been a dream so far on the admin end of things. The four columns were an absolute must for me. Thanks again mega– bunches to Lisa at E. Webscapes. She took my ideas and generic layout page that I had scribbled stuff onto and turned them into something beautiful. She also patiently put up with my countless emails! Thanks also to those of you who have contributed to my tip jar. Your donations helped make this design a reality.
Most of you have already heard today about the news articles that came out today about how tomorrow, President Obama is supposed to issue an executive order to shut down Gitmo Bay within the year. As if that’s not bad enough, today Rep. John Murtha, infamous for slandering our Marines over the Haditha controversy, offered to house the detainees in his district:
Ya’ll are familiar with the now-famous campaign poster used repeatedly during the Obama campaign, which features his face with red, white, and blue colors on it. The title of the poster was “Change” and you can see it here if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.

A little over a week ago, I wrote about the liberal McClatchy news outlet’s selling of a book about Barack Obama that includes articles and photos written and taken over the last two years, and how they based the title of the book on Obama’s speech on race.
The AP (via Sweetness and Light) provides us with the Obamedia picture caption of the day:
