“Massachusettes” stages another revolution – SCOTT BROWN WINS! (MULTIPLE UPDATES)

Let me say that again:

SCOTT BROWN WINS!

You can continue to monitor the results here.

They’re rockin’ and rollin’ at the Brown party tonight. Can’t wait to hear his acceptance speech. I can’t believe this!

Update 1 – 9:43 PM: This is esp. delicious considering the fact that the Dems probably wouldn’t be going through this if they hadn’t changed the rules again last year after Kennedy’s death …

Update 2 – 9:55 PM: Before the results were known, Scott Brown said he’d show Obama his truck and play some basketball with him if he won. I would love to see this! Would be much better than a stupid “Beer Summit.”

Update 3 – 10:14 PM: Sarah Palin was just on Greta talking about Scott Brown’s wins. Here were the money quotes:

“You just witnessed a wicked political pivot across our country.”

“Scott Brown is going to the US Senate in a pick up truck.”

Love it!

Scott Brown should be giving his victory speech shortly.

Senator Jim Webb issued this statement tonight:

In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process. It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated.

Update 4 – 10:32 PM: Brown’s giving his speech. The crowd is chanting “Pick up Truck” and “41” :D

“Seat Him Now!” chants fill the room after Brown announces he spoke to interim Senator Kirk, who has “completed his work as a Senator.”

10:41 PM: Said he offered to show the Prez. his truck in phone call to him earlier, asked to play some basketball.

10:58 PM: Brown just wrapped up his speech. Really sounds like a true down home, working class guy. Crowd clearly dug him.

The AP is reporting that the MA SOS will notify the Senate tomorrow that Brown has won.
