Civility Watch: Dem leader in NH vows Dems will help GOP “hang themselves”

Via the NH Journal:

Amidst a national dialogue about softening political rhetoric, members of an Obama-affiliated organization are threatening to hang Granite State Republicans in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, according to a news story in the Citizen of Laconia.

“They’re going to hang themselves,” said Belknap Democratic Chair Ed Allard of Republicans. “And we’re going to help them.”

Allard’s threat came during a meeting of despondent Democrats in Belknap County on Thursday evening. The meeting was hosted by President Obama’s Organizing for America.

I demand an apology/retraction during this “time of healing.” After all, we are in the “New Tone” era of politics, right?

Reminds me of the old joke about a black man in the south being found wrapped in chains, shot 7 times and stabbed 22 times.

“Worst case of suicide I ever saw,” said the sheriff.

In this case, of course, the jackasses are the sheriff, but in trying to tie up the Repubs they’re going to either aid in SC’s recovery while the Repubs get credit for it or be so dopey about it only blind idiots won’t see it.

Which pretty well covers most Demos anyway.

I thought that you understood, Sis: it’s only hate or violence rhetoric if it comes from the right. When it comes from our friends on the left, it’s simply a bit of prosaic license, never meant to be taken literally.

Please make a note of it.
