Really just astonishing! Outside of handicapped parking, I’ve about had it with the “special” parking places designated for people, especially something as moronic as “fuel efficient vehicle” parking! Good grief.

Well, us one legged folks like the handicap spaces, especially on crutches. But I hate when one has a placard, and then sprints to the store urge to ~~run them over~~ yell at them takes over. At least hospitals have expectant mothers parking in close.

How do they define fuel efficient? I have a Saturn SUV, 6-cylinder, and keep it fuel efficient with oil changes and clean plugs.

I love to park my 11 mpg gas guzzling full-size custom van with high topper in those spots.

US Bank also has those signs. I will never do business with them because of it.

Agree with Dave. What’s the definition of “fuel efficient”?
To take the relative excuse liberals like to use, what’s fuel efficient for one may not be fuel efficient to another.

Next will be “Electric Vehicle Parking Only”

And in case you guys didn’t already know, “Best Buy” isn’t. A little shopping online and you can find much better deals.

I’ve seen this in Denver too, although it was at the preforming art center parking garage. Their definition of fuel efficient included E-85 vehicles which my mini-van is.

On the other hand the despise some people here have reacted with is surprising to me. Clearly this is a business responding to market demands on private property. They have every right to do so. I suppose you have the right to “not do business” with them as well, but it seems am over reaction to me. The sign is probably not even enforced.

Wayne, it would be nice if it were only “market demands,” but this administration has been stacking the deck against “market demands” and creating a government push toward us “small people” getting used to less and more expensive gas, all in the name of saving Gaia.

It’s a load of crap with absolutely no scientific basis and propelled by the greed of phoney “scientists” whose only source of money is from real producers, stolen by an oppressive marxist government to keep most it it for themselves and to distribute just enough to the leeches of society to keep them hungry for more.

Other than and beyond that, what is the liberals’ plan to replace vehicle energy with what is reasonable and can transport tons of goods over thousands of miles? It sure as hades isn’t electricity, and until there is a reasonable replacement it seems to me a party so concerned about “the average guy” would want to make the average guy’s life a little less expensive, and that’s just nowhere to be seen in any of their programs.

The Mennonites and Amish have been fuel efficient for years…do you think liberals want us to live like them? Take away electicity if you want to truly stop “damaging” the earth and live in a simple life? They should be the poster children of the Green Era!

Electricity does not damage the Earth Kate,anymore than plucking a chook.Hydro-electricity is Green and Nuclear is Green BUT that doesn’t matter.If you want to live “green”,do it but stop expecting everyone to follow suit. Wouldn’t it be boring if we were all the same and lived all the same and ate all the same etc etc etc. Being independant is good for you,but maybe not for some.

Here in L.A., they’re about to shut down one of the busiest freeways in the world for three days to put in an additional (additional!) special lane for cars with multiple passengers, on the stupid premise that multiple passengers means the number of cars on the road has been reduced — as if Mom, Pop, Buddy, Sis and Baby Muffin would otherwise each take their own car.

From my way of thinking. My Chrysler 300 gets 3 times the gas mileage that my 67 Ford Galaxy 500 with the 4bbl and the 390cid got. LOL :) Seems to me I’ve gone green.

Also, does this sign include people who rode to the store together?? Seems to me that would be a fuel efficient thing to do too.

I think they have gone goofy myself, but hey it’s their parking lot, and I will keep buying from them, but I will ignore that sign for certain. LOL – Lorica
