QOTD: Rep. Wasserman Schultz “pretty happy” about “private sector growth”
Not sure what’s worse here – the fact that she had the audacity to say it in the first place or the fact that she actually believes private sector job growth has been strong under President Obama:
During an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz channeled President Obama’s infamous “the private sector is doing fine” comment, saying she is “happy” with job growth in the private sector:
Fox Newsβ John Roberts: βSo then is the suggestion that we should just do keep doing the same thing? Thereβs that old definition of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.β
DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz: “What we should do β well, Iβm pretty happy about 28 straight months of job growth in the private sector.”
Roberts: “Are you happy about 80,000 jobs last month, 69,000 the month before that. Are you happy with those numbers?”
Rep. Wasserman Schultz: “Like Iβve said and President Obama has said, we need to continue to improve and we need to do more and we need to work together.”
Here’s video of Wasserman Schultz’s remarks:
BTW, here’s what the REAL jobs picture looks like. Don’t expect Wasserman Schultz and her spin doctor cohorts to be candidly tackling those inconvenient truths anytime soon.
