In my “about ST” post that I wrote last year, I linked up to a photo of my sweet cat Muffie laying on the back porch. The pic was a bit on the dark side and it was a bit hard to see her.
Football season officially starts!
I’m a big football fan, and (surprise) I love the Panthers. We’re playing the New Orleans Saints today and it was nice to see on TV the warm welcome Charlotteans gave to the Saints. The Saints look pretty fired up, too. They are obviously the sentimental favorites to win today.

Update to Flight 93 movie post
Normally I just note post updates in the post title itself, but considering the content, I wanted to make sure everyone saw the update to this post from yesterday on the Flight 93 movie scheduled to air tomorrow – in that post, I also blogged about the controversy brewing over the "memorial" to Flight 93, which looks like an Islamic crescent. Levee breaches
Another example of a blogger doing the hard research that reporters should be doing but aren’t. Pat at Brainster’s Blog argues that the President was right for statements he made in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina when he said no one anticipated the levee breaks.
