The ST blog: 5 years strong … and still growing
Hard to believe it, but today’s my 5th blogiversary, and what I said on my 4th blogiversary holds true today. I sincerely, sincerely appreciate the support of longtime readers, commenters, and emailers who send me encouragement, tips, and write to me both in email and on the blog about their views. It’s safe to say that we all learn and grow when we’re willing to listen and learn to and from each other. Over the years this blog has taken on a family-like atmosphere, since so many have gotten to know each other from regular commenting.

Site host change in progress (OPEN THREAD)
Ok, my new site host is transferring data over from my old hosting site to theirs. I’m very nervous right now! Hopefully all will go ok. If you experience any site access issues in the next hour or so, you know why.
Liberty Pundit blog shutting down
Many long-time readers of this blog know Brian at Liberty Pundit (formerly Iowa Voice) not just from his blogging at his own site, but the times I’ve asked him to guestblog here as well. He’s always done a great job both here and there, and I’ve considered him one of the most underrated bloggers in the blogosphere for a long time now. Not only that, but over the years he and I have become blogging buds.
