While Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are wasting no time throwing jabs at each other, the other side of the aisle isn’t doing a bad job themselves of playing catch up. Suffice it to say that the gloves are off between Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani.
This one could be nearly as big as the Hsu campaign fundraising scandal.
The discussions are heating up in the blogosphere and elsewhere regarding a story printed in today’s Boston Herald regarding a Romney-appointed judge who released a convicted murder who, after serving his sentence, was issued a warrant on a violent assault charge. After appealing his bail charge, the judge released him on “personal recognizance,” only to see him turn around and commit a double murder:

Pressies and pundits alike are declaring that Hillary “fought back” last night, and some are outright saying she “won” the debate. I have to say that from what I saw of it (in the replay late last night) she proved that the phoney charm Bill Clinton used to win over voters rubbed off a little on her, too. Not only that, but she demonstrated that she’s got the Clinton penchant for lying down pat (well, ok, I know that goes without saying – but last night, she made it into an art form), too, especially when she commented that she hadn’t been playing the gender card after her poor debate performance last time.
