I can’t really add anymore to this, outside of noting that one should never underestimate the ability of Republicans in positions of influence to shoot the entire party in its collective foot with idiotic, unsubstantiated remarks like the ones made by “brave” unnamed campaign sources on the pages of various newspapers today including, of course, the Palin-hating NYT.
The Gov. gets some good news on the eve of the election:
Last week, we saw a front page negative, irrelevant story about Cindy McCain brought on, in part, by one of their reporters trolling Facebook to dig for information from teenagers whose mothers might be able to shed more insight on how Cindy McCain is as a mother, and now they’ve got one on Gov. Palin’s $150K wardrobe.

I have raved a bit this year over what I found to be CNN-TV’s surprisingly decent election coverage, primarily on primary nights and debate nights. Even though I grit my teeth over the fact that they sometimes invite their mainstream journalists to join in on the political commentary and continue to include Paul Begala and David Gergen in their coverage, I will still watch it as I find their debates to be – for the most part – respectable and engaging.
