The train robbers had a bad day

In late November, 2008, the world stood transfixed in horror as Muslim terrorists waging jihad (jihad fi sabil Allah) went on a murderous rampage in the Indian city of Mumbai. At the time, there was strong suspicion that the terrorists, who belonged to a jihad group called Lashkar e Taiba (LeT), had received some support from the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency. But the evidence, while suggestive, wasn’t considered conclusive.
I linked to this story/study in the Hot Headlines this morning but thought it deserved more attention. The NYT reports on China’s boy baby bias and how “sex-selective” abortion has, in part, played a significant role in the lopsided male-to-female ratio (via Memeo):
Billl Roggio has information you won’t find anywhere else on a terrorist group known as “Lashkar-e-Taiba.” It’s suspected of being behind last week’s Mumbai terror attacks, which killed at least 172 people and injured nearly 300. In his piece, Roggio points out that those who are trying to disassociate Lashkar-e-Taiba from al Qaeda are in error. There are not only ties to AQ, but there are many similarities between L-e-T and AQ … similarities that serve a common purpose. Make sure to read the whole thing.
