Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last 24 hours, you know about the horrific execution-style shootings that happened yesterday at a Safeway in Tucson, AZ where three-term Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ8) was holding her first “Congress on Your Corner” meeting with her constituents. She tweeted about it just minutes before being shot point blank in the temple at close range.

It never fails that when the discussion of liberal media bias comes up, some sanctimonious and ill-informed lefty will try to convince the crowd of the exact opposite: That it’s conservatives whose voices are most often heard in the media. Now, you and I know this is as absolutely hilarious as it is absolutely false, but the left has never exactly let the facts get in the way of a good ol’ fashioned rant on this issue (or on any issue, for that matter).
Obama’s favorite “right wing” columnist David Brooks strikes out again with a column that suggests he’s a little too insulated from reality inside the Beltway. My responses to some of Brooks’ laughable assertions are bolded and italicized:
The mainstream media in the US and its allies on the Left like to congratulate themselves for “speaking truth to power,” as if they were taking any real risk for questioning or even insulting conservative politicians. What a joke; the only risk they truly face is a sprained shoulder from patting themselves on the back so much.
Unlike the New York Times, the Post has some measure of integrity left, even if they sometimes forget where they put it. In this case, they remembered it for a special review of Sean Penn and Naomi Watts’ movie “Fair Game,” about Plamegate, the scandal involving former diplomat (and lying publicity hound) Joe Wilson and his wife, Valerie Plame.
