Snow in Charlotte
As promised (albeit a little late), here are pictures of what the snow looked like here in Charlotte last Thursday. I only got one from my house because my camera batteries died (argh!) and it didn’t come out well but I did get a few good ones at mom and dad’s, which I’ll post below. All in all, I think we got about two inches, and it started melting around noon.
Breaking news: Nifong asks to be recused from Duke lacrosse rape case
It’s about time. But assuming he’ll be allowed off the case, he’ll still be in the limelight as he’s in trouble with the NC Bar. I believe there will be a hearing on the complaints lodged against Nifong on Jan. 24th. Stay tuned.
Carolina Panthers at the New Orleans Saints
In addition to a win over the Saints today, we needed a Giants loss yesterday and a Packers loss tonight against Chicago to make it into the playoffs. Well, today’s game is now meaningless for the Panthers as the Giants beat Washington yesterday.
More bad news for Mike Nifong
On Thursday, the North Carolina state bar filed an ethics complaint against the embattled DA in the Duke lacrosse rape case. Now the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys have called for him to step down from the case. Via ABC News:
