I spent my afternoon at a neighborhood cookout that was organized at the last minute. It was nice – the weather here has been absolutely beautiful.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know that today is going to be a light blogging day – I’m off work (actually been off the last couple of days) and I’ve got some errands to run and also want to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather. And I’ve got to get away from the news for a bit. It’s starting to get to me. I will be back to blogging this evening. I’ll be around on and off to approve comments, but not to post. Most likely, comments that have been submitted after I post this will be approved this evening.
My Tuesday evening and Katrina updates
This evening after I left work, I made a trip to the emergency room up the street from the house. It wasn’t actually an "emergency" but I didn’t have time to go to the doctor during the day, so I went to the emergency room with my problem. Seems *something* (ant, spider – don’t know) got a hold of my left foot Saturday. I didn’t feel anything when it happened, but I noticed by Saturday evening there were three small bites on my left foot that I knew were not mosquito bites. I told myself if it didn’t look much different by Tuesday that I would go to the doctor, and so I did. I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t something that potentially could be serious.

Updates!
What a great – but exhausting – weekend this has been on multiple fronts. I’m thismuch closer to buying my first home. As previously discussed here, the groundwork has been laid for me to purchase a home in a neighborhood that is still under construction (the neighborhood is about 65-75% done). The preliminary paperwork has been signed, and presuming the seller agrees to the incintives I’m requesting, the agreement to proceed may be a done deal by the end of the week! Slight change in plans, though.
Saturday morning
Today’s going to be a busy day at casa de ST. I won’t be around this morning as I’ll be out house hunting … I should be back later this afternoon to post a bit and approve comments by non-trolls. So if you submit a comment and it doesn’t show up for a while, it’s because I’m not around to approve it. It’ll get posted this afternoon, most likely.
