Since I was off all last week from the 8-5, I’m swamped today upon my return. Hope to be able to check back in sometime this afternoon. If not, then tonight definitely.

Your eyes won’t be dry after reading this. It’s written by Dana Canedy, an editor at the New York Times who was the fiancé of First Sgt. Charles Monroe. Sgt. Monroe was killed in Iraq on October 14th, but he left behind some words to live by for his son, who at the time was not yet born. Canedy writes:

Carolina Panthers at the New Orleans Saints
In addition to a win over the Saints today, we needed a Giants loss yesterday and a Packers loss tonight against Chicago to make it into the playoffs. Well, today’s game is now meaningless for the Panthers as the Giants beat Washington yesterday.
