The Greensboro News and Record’s Travis Fain is a respected journalist here in North Carolina who covers state and national government issues, and he wrote a great piece a couple of days agoΒ questioning the heightened level of hyperbole and rhetoric that has been used by state Democrats and affiliated liberal special interest groups over the past couple of years:
The Noor Salman trial and its conclusion, as recounted in a recent Huffington Post piece, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the MSM and opportunistic Democrat politicos were wrong to rush to judgment against conservatives immediately after the horrific Pulse nightclub murders.
With the ridiculous Code Red outrage that has translated into self-serving “boycotts” of the state of Indiana after last week’s passage of their own version of the President Clinton-approved 1993 federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and with ArkansasΒ expected to be the 21st state after Indiana to sign into law anΒ RFRA passed by their state legislature, I thought it would be a good idea to speculate on what it all means for North Carolina.
This is a huge story that developed over the course of the afternoon here in North Carolina. Β I followed developments via Twitter and my mouth dropped open with each passing Tweet as to what the NC State Elections Board was telling aΒ Joint Legislative Elections Oversight Committee earlier on issues of double voting, people being registered in more than one state, and …. dead voters whose voting record showed action after they had, um, died.
