McKinney co-sponsors bill ‘honoring’ the Capitol Hill police

This is just priceless:

WASHINGTON — Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, who could face criminal charges for allegedly punching a Capitol police officer in Washington, D.C., has signed on as a co-sponsor of a House bill formally honoring Capitol Police officers.

The bill is House Resolution 756, which would officially “Express the gratitude and appreciation of the House of Representatives to the professionalism and dedication of the United States Capitol Police”.

The bill was submitted on April 4, one week after the incident between Ms. McKinney and Capitol police officer Paul McKenna. At the time, Ms. McKinney’s supporters said the legislation was an attempt to embarrass the six-term Congresswoman from DeKalb County. 39 of the other 40 co-sponsors are Republicans.

Maybe McKinney should have thought about showing her respect for the Capitol Hill police before she took a swing at one, and then accused them of racism.

  1. PCD says:

What McKinney should be doing is not legislating, but gracing the DC jail with her presence as an inmate.

Talk about the culture of corruption, the Democrats hardly ever go to jail for their crimes.

    What a phony POS.

Headline ought to read, “Bill co-sponsored by Monica and Cynthia”. He’d be happy and the tax payers won’t have wasted more money on added stupidity.

  4. - This is probably round one of the new improved version of the respectful and well grounded version of McKinney, upholder of law and order, defender of all that is sacrid and right. Re-inventing herself, because she knows shes gone too far and faces a probable defeat when vote time comes, even among the cherry picked gerrymandered district back home. We”l just forgetabout that nasty business of attaching those frorensic murder photographs to that bill a week or so ago, which no one in the entire Congress can understand. Just an unfortunate slip. We’re back on track now and smooth sailing from here on. Just make sure she has her “advisors” by her side at all times, and she takes her meds.
