More on Saddam’s WMD capabilities

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on July 8, 2006 at 4:09 pm

Captain Ed has an excellent series of posts up regarding some recently released documents that shed more light on Saddam Hussein’s capabilities and intentions regarding WMD.

Here’s his most recent post, but make sure to also visit his main link and continue to scroll down – there are quite a few. To say what he’s got posted there is eye-opening would be a gross understatement.

Update: Read more on those translated documents here. What a treasure trove of information! Just keep scrolling. (Hat tip: ST reader Severian)

Yeah, just think, we had some liberal moonbat here recently assuring us, with their vast expertise (or was that half-vast :d )that the WMDs found were no more dangerous than the chemicals under your sink.

Yeah, right. I know exactly the “logic” that they used to rationalize that. Hmmm…we don’t want to admit these WMDs are anything so let’s see, Sarin, that was invented by the Germans before WWII. Hmmm…let’s hit the history books, AHA! Sarin was invented originally as a pesticide, it just happened to kill people far better than it did insects (of course, the Germans considered Jews pests, so you never know just what they might think a pesticide to be designed for ). 8-| Aha, they say, we’ve got the meme now, these are no more dangerous than that can of Raid you’ve got under you sink you spray cockroaches with! That’s how we’ll spin this!

Idiots. I’d love to see some of them volunteer to be in a room with this stuff when it’s uncorked. Yeah, not dangerous, my bleedin’ Aunt Fannie. Even the UN admitted that the munitions they found were still of high purity and very very deadly.

But still, I say we ship some of them to the next big Kos Konklave for happy hour. Let’s see how confident they really are, time to put up or shut up.

    From the Article:
Another point seems rather interesting here. The third paragraph seems to match up pretty well with the CIA/DIA description of the mobile laboratories discovered shortly after the invasion of Iraq:

Common elements between the source’s description and the trailers include a control panel, fermentor, water tank, holding tank, and two sets of gas cylinders. One set of gas cylinders was reported to provide clean gases—oxygen and nitrogen—for production, and the other set captured exhaust gases, concealing signatures of BW agent production.
The discovered trailers also incorporate air-stirred fermentors, which the source reported were part of the second-generation plant design.

Once again, it looks like Saddam’s own documentation makes it clear that he had never stopped working on WMD programs. This time, it also shows that UNMOVIC and the UNSC knew it.

This brings to mind what Madeline Albright said about North Korea. “We were lied too”. Apparently Saddamn was using those mobile trailers for illicite purposes. You know it is so easy to deceive those that already are. This is just yet another point of interest that the left are in denial about. There were/are WMDs in Iraq, and Saddamn was purposely seeking to produce them. – Lorica
