Alan Colmes: Sarah Palin’s first child supposedly conceived out of wedlock – PLUS: Other vicious far left attacks on Palin

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on August 31, 2008 at 11:39 am

ST reader Mwalimu Daudi  has done an great job in finding out about what certain popular far leftie blogs are having to say about Sarah Palin.  In one post, MD pointed to the following links:

—- TNR: Sarah Palin named two of her children after witches.   Andrew Sullivan, surprisingly (not), echoed a similar theme here.  The real facts are here.

—- Certain far left blogs are asserting that Palin posed for nude pictures.  The real facts are that the pictures in question are not of Palin, but instead are of a young Julia Louis-Dreyfus

In another post, MD pointed to these links:

—– Featured post at the Daily Kos: Palin’s faked “pregnancy”?  Covering for teen daughter? UPDATE #2!   That story was debunked by Ed Morrissey yesterday.

—– This leftie feminist blogger pointed out what she was seeing written by far lefties on other boards and blogs about Palin:

Go read the Washington Post blog or anywhere online where the Palin pick is being discussed, and you’ll see the trademark Obama misogyny already out in full force. She’s been on the ticket for two seconds and already the Obamabots are saying she “looks like a porn star” they’re making rude remarks about her childbearing, they’re ridiculing her intelligence.

What’s the latest and greatest from the world of far leftists?  In addition to accusing Sarah Palin of not giving her infant son Trig proper pre-natal care in one post, Hannity and Colmes leftie Alan Colmes posted on his blog yesterday in another post titled “Conservative Family Values” that Sarah Palin’s first son Track might have been born out of wedlock (emphasis added by him):

In her speech in Dayton today, Gov. Sarah Palin announced that she and her husband are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, which means they were married on August 29, 1988.

On April 20, 1989 – less than eight months after they eloped – their first son, Track, was born.

I think I can guess the real reason why they eloped, and it wasn’t to save money on an expensive wedding.

Here’s the screencap of that post in case Colmes decides to delete it.  I hope Hannity rips him to shreds on the show tomorrow night.

I must say that the “concern” being expressed by popular far left jerk bloggers for values voters is so touching, about as touching as it would be to walk barefoot on broken glass.

These people just don’t get it, and never will.  Let’s assume for purposes of discussion that Sarah and Todd Palin weren’t married at the time they conceived Track.  If Alan Colmes’ timeline is correct, it could mean that the baby was conceived out of wedlock and that they did the right thing and got married. Or perhaps Track was a premature baby and there was no conception outside of marriage. In any event, by accounts they have lived a good life, have stayed together and are raising all five children in a loving, stable home, instilling in them the Christian values that are the centerpiece of their lives.

What this is all about to the far left more than anything else is the attempt at tearing down and destroying by any means necessary the compelling story of a down home All American Christian woman who grew up and made something of her life and who now stands in line to become the next vice president of the United States.  There’s not much to “pick at” in Sarah Palin’s distinguished record, so what do they do?  They attempt to degrade her and diminish her accomplishments on the basis of her sex … and her faith.   So much for “tolerance” and ”respect” for differing views … especially those coming from a conservative Christian woman.

It’s well known that far leftists hate Christians anyway because they represent a moral standard the far left will never ever meet, and amongst political junkies, it’s well known that they also hate strong conservative women (Michelle Malkin can tell you a few stories about that). But we’ve never had a strong conservative woman on a national ticket, so now the country – and the world – will get to see exactly the type of people the far left are.    Whether the mediots document it or not, conservative bloggers will.  Yours truly, along with others, will be on the front lines in exposing them in all their bitter, clingy ugliness.

Update: ST reader Sev hits a home run:

The leftoids would respect her and think she was just great if she’d never married, her 5 kids were by different fathers, none of which were still around, and she was living on public assistance in low income housing. Then she’d be the bees knees.

Yep.

And here I thought the left couldn’t get any more disgusting or lower. Silly me.

  2. Pan says:

They had premarital sex? This is a shock? Coming from the party that advocates same sex marriage and all manner of sexual activities as chronicled at http://www.zombietime.com. They fail to mention all the sex partners Bill Clinton had after he was married, or JFK for that matter. They have no trouble with Teddy leaving MaryJo Kopechne to drown. But attacking a wife and mother of 5 is fine. Have there ever been more hypocritical creatures on the planet than leftists?

  3. It’s also entirely possible that Track was premature by a month or so (just edited the post to reflect that, BTW). I don’t suppose that thought ever crossed his the mind of Colmes, tho.

The fact is that no one really knows outside of the Palins and no one really cares – except for idiot far leftists like Colmes and his low life ilk.

  4. Bithead says:

And that, I think is where all this is going. We see an awful lot, these last couple days, of charges that are at least uninformed, most of it slanderous, being tossed at Palin, in a desperate attempt to get something/anything to stick.

    What we are seeing, Sister, is a fear reaction. Consider what these people ahve been dealing with until now;

Hillary Clinton, whose sole reason for having the power she has today is because her erstwhile ‘husband’ repeatedly screwed around on her. Given Hillary Clinton as the example of the powerful woman, it’s logical to assume all women who attain positions of power, have similar backgrounds, or slept their way to the top. This is in no small part, a fear reaction. They don’t understand it, so there’s only one possibility. Sex. She MUST ahve slept her way to the top, as we heard from a locat Denver station the other day. (Links at need)

Open minded, these Democrats. For possibly the first time in their lives they’re being confronted with a powerful woman who didn’t get her power from a bunch of know-nothings on a sympathy jag. And they simply don’t know how to cope. Or, maybe they just don’t like a powerful woman. Either way, and I say it again…what we’re witness to here is a fear reaction.

I can’t help but wonder what what point those attempts backfire on the Democrat party.

  5. Tom TB says:

All the Democrats keep showing time and time again is they only love their ideolgy, and hate all people that don’t obey it.

  6. Trish says:

I think this is already backfiring them. A lot of left-leaning feminists are truly disgusted at the muck that’s being thrown at Palin.

If Track really was conceived out of wedlock, then the Palins did exactly the right thing in marrying quietly and staying together.

And what would happen if a Democrat had named her children for witches? (Don’t think some of them wouldn’t.) Sheer delight for the left.

The left is not going to like the way the voters react to these smears.

  7. Mwalimu Daudi says:

Alan Colmes suggests that Sarah Palin caused her child’s birth defect.

I hate to sound like a stuck record, but this is just the beginning. If you think what has happened in the last few days has been filthy, just wait until the beginning of November. It will make what is happening now look like a love sonnet to Palin.

(Thanks for the kind words, ST! I have not yet finished my book report on The Obama Nation, but I will.)

  8. ChenZhen says:

I concluded a long time ago that Colmes is just a scary-looking dude that Fox puts up next to Hannity to “represent” the left. I think you’d be pretty hard-pressed to find actual liberals that identify with the guy. So, by all means, petition Fox to fire the him or boycott the show or whatever. No one I know would care.

  9. Democrats can’t wrap their heads around her. She is married to a man, and she doesn’t seem at all unhappy with her situation. This is problematic for disgruntled HRC Democrats. Joe “would you like some sugar with your restraining order, Ma’am?” Biden Democrats believe that women should be able to leave their marriages for any reason or for no reason, and that taxpayers and child support enforcement policies must be designed to make this choice a neutral one, with no economic consequences at all for mom and her children. The fact that she remains married to a man – after 20 years! – and has born 5 children with him is deeply troubling to Democrats.

The fact that she’s been able to embark on a successful political career, and still have 5 children, is a thumb in the eye as far as Democrats are concerned. Democrats maintain that the freedom to have both children and a career requires government assistance, since men, by their very nature, have to be compelled by government to support women and their children. When a women chooses a lifelong partnership with a man, all she is doing is making a sneaky end-run around the government, selfishly consuming his wages and his labor directly from the source.

  10. benning says:

The ugliness has only just begun. It won’t end even after McCain is sworn into office. And it will be repeated when Palin runs for the Presidency to succeed McCain.

    *just thinking ahead, logically!*:d

  11. Trish says:

    ChenZhen–
Don’t kid yourself. There are a lot of lefties whose thoughts (for lack of a better term) run on exactly those same lines.

  12. newton says:

If rumors of an out-of wedlock fertilization are true, So Damn What?

    So did Ron and Nancy!

The key here is assuming your responsibilities. Now, that’s something Democrats are experts – I mean, Experts! – at avoiding.

  13. Teddy Bear Uncle says:

Sister, you have done us a service.

After reading all of the tripe, from both Alan and Kos, I determined that I have seen the worst of the worst. The problem is that this is only going to get worse. And I absolutely fear for what may happen down the road with my 4 year old niece, or potentially my own kids (when I have them. No kids before I get a ring on my finger.)

All of this has me seriously thinking about forgoing politics watching in general, as I seriously cannot seem to stomach all of this crap.

If anyone has words of wisdom to go through this time, I’m sure people could use it.

  14. Now Sister, that is quite unfair. By lumping all these talking points together in one post, you make them look as silly as…as…well, y’know, as they really are.

Maybe, at long last, we have a definition for the verb “swift-boating.”

  15. pjean says:

The Obama supporters will only escalate this nastiness and hard as it may be, those who do not wish to see him in office need to keep their own nastiness in check. Yes, I will admit, it can be fun to goof on Sen. Obama, but I also believe that we will get back what we put out into this world. Let the ill-intentioned Obama supporters rail on and find some comfort that the same will be directed back onto them.

America is good and we ARE blessed.

  16. Bithead says:

I concluded a long time ago that Colmes is just a scary-looking dude that Fox puts up next to Hannity to “represent” the left. I think you’d be pretty hard-pressed to find actual liberals that identify with the guy.

Well, that’s true. Most of them don’t appreciate that he’s among the kinder, more polite liberals out there. You think Colmes is ugly on what he says? Baby, you seen NADA yet, trust me.

  17. The leftards hate Gov Palin because she’s smart, articulate, has a normal family, she hunts, fishes, and fights corruption. Oh, and in her short time in office she’s gove more accomplishments under her belt than that metrosexual Obama.

They fear and loath women like Sara Palin.

And benning is right; the ugliness has only begun.

  18. Big Bang Hunter (pumping you up) says:

    - Sistah – Try this link, and the see what you think of the rabid Left and their garbage mouth insane rumors.

    - Colmes should be frog marched out the nearest exit at the FOX studio.

    - BBH – **==

  19. Great White Rat says:

Tom and Benning are both right. What you’re seeing now is only the beginning. The left is blind with rage and frustration over the choice of Governor Palin. The degree of hatred and venom you’ve seen so far will look like a love note by the time they’re done.

As for Chen’s comment, I’m with Trish. I’ve seen far too many leftists that resort to mean-spirited character assassination if you disagree or challenge them. Colmes is not far from the norm. But there’s no way I’d petition Fox to fire him. Let him rant on and on. What better way to showcase what the left is really all about?

Here’s the really confusing part in all their hyperventilating about Trig. The left thinks Trig was only a clump of cells until birth, and even then not really a person – Obama’s idea of “Hope” and “Change” for these, the most helpless among us, is to toss them into a closet with dirty laundry until they do him the favor of dying. So what difference should it make to them what she did during her pregnancy? Isn’t that why they wail about “choice” so often? If they’re so concerned about what sort of pre-natal care Governor Palin provided, then it stands to reason they must accept that what she had inside her was a person, does it not?

  20. Great White Rat says:

MD – I just finished David Freddoso’s book. When you’re ready, we can submit book reports together. :d

    THE BALLAD OF SARAH PALIN
(Sung to the tune of Davy Crockett)

Born in the northern part of Idaho,
Destined for fame, she just didn’t know.
Learned to hunt and fish, even in the snow,
Never was one to just go with the flow

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

Moved to the North before she was one,
Landed in the “Land of the Midnight Sun.”
Beautiful and strong, she likes to have fun,
She always works hard, but her work is never done.

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

With her five kids and a man named Todd,
They carved out a life eatin’ moose and cod.
Alaska had some waste and a lot of fraud,
So she went to work and laid down her fishin’ rod.

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

  22. Foxx says:

Remember, ultimately, the Left only cares about women when they are used as objects or used for gender baiting. A REAL woman, not a feminist, disrupts the whole plans of the Left of putting them in their proper place; not in the kitchen, but in a brothel.

Palin represts what real women should be like or striving to be like. Not forced into the mold that the idiot media wants to put them into.

  23. saveliberty says:

Sister Toldjah, I disagree with Sev. No matter what she does, she will be reviled as immoral.

Because of course, she threatens the One.

  24. CT Independent says:

FYI does anyone realize that Alan Colmes was a STAND UP COMIC before he “broke” into news commentator??? He is a bit of a joke isn’t he…
    :((
If I watch/listen to him as I would if he were host of the “Colmes Report” I can actully keep my blood pressure down :)>-

  25. mk says:

The ideological blindness that the Left suffers from is a profound misunderstanding of values and religious voters. They think such people are haters of “false identity” (i.e. ideological hypocrites) because the Left hates on the basis of false identity (not being true to the Cause). Hence, one sin should be sufficient to condemn the person. “George Bush did coke!” etc. In their understanding of religious people, we condemn a person for a SINGLE misstep and for EVERY misstep. It would never occur to them that, for example, an evangelical Christian is, by definition, a recovering sinner who habitually engaged in wrong behavior of one kind or another and could not only care less about ONE wrong action, but blithely forgives a LIFETIME of wrong actions provided that the person genuinely repented and righted their lives. They don’t get that because it’s not natural. What’s more, we get our revenge by praying for their conversion and meaning it. Love you, Lefties! You’re just embryonic Christians waiting to be born and not aborted!;)

  26. Severian says:

Colmes is not far from the norm. But there’s no way I’d petition Fox to fire him. Let him rant on and on. What better way to showcase what the left is really all about?

This, I think, is a large part of why leftists hate Fox News so much. It’s not just that they will cover stories the left doesn’t want covered, or present the conservative side of a story, it’s that they do allow leftists and Dems on to comment. When these people are on the MSM outlets, they don’t have any real opposition, and with no one to argue with them they manage to come across as at least halfway sane and rational. But, on Fox News, they have to actually argue and defend their talking points against a conservative or Republican counterpart, which they almost never can do without resorting to screaming to try and shout down their opponent or just mindlessly repeating the same irrelevant talking points over and over and over while the other side keeps pointing out that they aren’t answering the question. This makes it painfully clear that their positions are not well thought out or rational, and makes them look like the intolerant fools they really are. That, more than anything, is why they hate Fox so much IMHO.

And naturally, the fact that they look like fools if Fox’s fault, not their own. Fits right in with that victimhood/everything is not their fault mentality that’s so prevalent on the Left.
