You and your party really DON’T care when black people in your party make racist statements about black Republicans. Via the Washington Times:
The chairman of the Republican Party yesterday challenged his Democratic counterpart to condemn racist statements against Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele, but Howard Dean demanded his own apology and ignored the question.
The former Vermont governor was asked by host Tim Russert on NBC’s “Meet the Press” to respond to the statements, in an appearance that Mr. Dean insisted be separate from an interview with Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman.
Mr. Dean gave no response, aside from saying he didn’t receive an apology for being called an anti-Semite by a member of the Republican Party.
So that’s how it works, eh? To paraphrase: I won’t apologize until HE apologizes first. Neener neener!’
What a lame and disappointing example you set for your party, Chairman Dean. But thank you for confirming what we all know and that is that you nor your party leaders give a rats behind when black Democrats throw degrading racial insults towards a black Republican. Yet will run into the ground requests for white Republicans to condemn a perceived racial insult towards black people. No pun intended, but you truly have shown your true colors here, Dr. Dean.
