Good grief. Talk about being out of the loop. I have been so immersed into Occupy Wall Street refutations that I did not even know there was a debate between GOP candidates tonight (in Rochester, Michigan, at Oakland University). It is just now starting – broadcast on CNBC – and the focus of the debate is the economy. CNBC is both broadcasting it and liveblogging it. Looking for an online link to post for those with no access to a TV right now.

The crew at Labor Union Report have been doing an absolutely outstanding job of uncovering a disturbing story that should be front page news here but isn’t: The fact that, in spite of denials by both them and Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx to the contrary, the Democratic National Convention Committee is indeed discriminating against Charlotte-area workers in favor of their union masters for workers for next year’s DNC.
