A trend?
A week ago, I posted about new polling numbers that were analyzed by the WaPo’s Chris Cillizza, which indicated that McCain was narrowing the gap in the polls in 4 battleground states: Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. CNN reports today that McCain has narrowed the gap in three more key states:

McCain to announce VP pick this week?
Novak is reporting that “sources” say that McCain will do just that. I’ll believe it only when I see it. Frankly, it would be a good political move, and might distract a bit from Obama’s overseas tour, but my bet is that he’ll wait a little closer to the GOP convention to make the big announcement – perhaps even shortly after the Dem convention.
