Last week, Patterico comprehensively smacked down FactCheck.org for a piece they put out claiming that the NRA ad run against Obama was “false.” They were also wrong about the McCain ad targeting Obama for supporting sex education for children. The Washington Post fact check team were wrong as well about the NRA ad, and if I’m not mistaken got it wrong on the sex ed, too.

Nope, this doesn’t mean a deal has been reached on the bailout, but nevertheless the McCain campaign has issued a statement declaring why he’ll be attending the debate after all.
Late night talk show host David Letterman, upset because John McCain canceled his scheduled appearance on Letterman’s show Wednesday night, blasted him that night (and replaced him with the Republican hating Keith Olbermann) and kept it up last night as well throughout his show. He’s not merely “joking” – he’s seriously ticked that McCain canceled, and is throwing a temper tantrum that is reminiscent of a 5 year old who can’t have his cookie after reluctantly eating all of his green peas.
I hate to sound like a broken record but this needs to be repeated again and again because the McCain campaign sure as hell isn’t doing enough to get the word out, and of course we know the media could care less about the background of the current financial/economic crisis. Watch the following two videos, which are clips of Fox News segments dealing with what Republicans in Congress – including Bush – tried to do to head this crisis off at the pass, and how Democrats like Senators Barack Obama and Chris Dodd, and Rep. Barney Frank blocked their efforts by burying their heads in the sand, both in the name of political correctness – and campaign $$$. $-)
