The German magazine Spiegel Online has an interesting piece up that discusses Obama’s second and (supposedly final) choice for where he’ll make his big speech next week – the Victory Column – and how some German politicians are still unhappy with his choice, because of what the area symbolizes:
As expected, the mediots are doing their duty in faithfully reporting on Obama’s first overseas trip since becoming the Dem nominee for president by portraying him as a near-rock star in Afghanistan.
Well, you’d think that only if you wanted to believe the very worst about your political opponent, rather than acknowledging that what he said was clearly an innocent mistake. Â
Obama has instead picked another German venue to deliver one of his fluff pieces:
Well, this explains part of the reason why Obama stays confused on the foreign policy front. Sheesh.
