Starry-eyed David Brooks: Obama has had a very good week
Obama’s favorite “right wing” columnist David Brooks strikes out again with a column that suggests he’s a little too insulated from reality inside the Beltway. My responses to some of Brooks’ laughable assertions are bolded and italicized:

Seriously. When was the last time the left’s/NYT’s favorite “Republican” columnist was even remotely tough on our celebrity President? This column just doesn’t cut it:

Slobbering succotash! Obama’s favorite “moderate” Republican columnist pens yet another column filled with suggestions he thinks Obama can use in order to heal his damaged reputation, his administration, and – of course – the nation. After talking about what he believes The One was elected, he writes:

TNR has a revealing – and highly nauseating – piece on the “courtship” of David Brooks by Barack Obama. The story pretty much confirms what I and many others have been saying about David Brooks for a while now in that he’s allowed himself to be shamelessly used and abused by Beltway Democrats for at least the last several years, and none of them have used him more to their advantage than Barack Obama, David Axelrod (whose relationship with Brooks goes back decades) and others in The One’s administration.
