#OccupyCLT earns #OWS street cred w/ arrests at enviro protest

For weeks I’ve been monitoring developments with the local “Occupy” movement otherwise known as Occupy Charlotte. Some on Twitter have suggested that Occupy Charlotte is not as exciting as some of the other, more notorious Occupy movements like Oakland and Portland, because the only arrests have been 2 – for jaywalking (I’ve heard there was a 3rd – for public urination, but I haven’t confirmed that info). One local media outlet called OccCLT a “mostly benign” movement so far – apparently not paying attention to how they’ve been radicalized thanks to their alliances with radical Anon hacktivists and the national OWS as well as their belief that it’s ok to “occupy” private property and terrorize customers and family members of banks and bankers as “payback” for “corporate greed.”.....   [Read More]

#DNC2012 discriminates against CLT-area workers in favor of out of state union labor

The crew at Labor Union Report have been doing an absolutely outstanding job of uncovering a disturbing story that should be front page news here but isn’t: The fact that, in spite of denials by both them and Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx to the contrary, the Democratic National Convention Committee is indeed discriminating against Charlotte-area workers in favor of their union masters for workers for next year’s DNC. Again, in spite of the duhnials coming from the various “Occupy leaders” around the country that the marches currently taking place in various cities around the country are full of “diverse” groups of “all types,” this movement IS full of clueless slackers, actual hippies, college-age hippies in training, diehard unionistas, and other various “gimme mine” types who – oddly – rail against government bailouts but yet who demand that the government bail THEM out.
