I assume the reason there wasn’t more liveblogging on this debate was because it was broadcast on the Spanish language Univision channel, which not everyone has. The NYT reports this morning that NY’s Gov. Spitz has taken off the table his unpopular plan to issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants:

Like many people have the last couple of days, I read the story of what happened in a hallway in the Afton View apartments in St. Paul, Minnesota with an unhealthy dose of disgust:
I’ve had an extremely icky day, and my nerves are razor thin right now, and on top of all that I log on to read that supporters of prominent illegal immigrant Elvira Arellano, arrested and deported this week, call her the illegal immigration movement’s “Rosa Parks.” In response, my head just about rocketed off my neck.
