Fox News has a report that will garner little to no attention from the mainstream press on the issue of how many times KSM was waterboarded before he started singing. Popular news outlets, citing figures from the memos Obama released on EITs, have reported that it was done to him “183 times” – which is not the case:
Critics of EITs (enhanced interrogation techniques) like Andrew Sullivan and Slate’s Tim Noah are spreading false and/or incomplete information about the fact that the waterboarding of KSM led to the disruption of the LA Library Tower terror plot. They point to information suggesting that the plot was broken up before KSM was in US custody.
There’s been a lot of talk lately, mainly amongst left wing hypocrites and Beltway conservative uptight types about how the right has supposedly engaged in “rampant, uncontrolled hate speech” since Barack Obama has been elected. Will they start examining their own backyard now that one of their most prominent spokespeople, Frank Rich, has taken the ‘torture’ memos and used them as a springboard to compare Bush/Cheney to … Columbine killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris?
