The countdown to Sarko versus Sego
I wrote back in November 2005 that a “French connection” friend of mine told me to keep my eye on French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy – that Sarko was the ‘man to watch’ whenever the French elections rolled around. Looks like my source was right on, because Sarko is the favorite to win this Sunday’s election in France.
The Pelosi Syria visit and the three Republicans’ Syria visit: The differences and why they matter (MORE-DID PELOSI DELIVER WRONG MESSAGE FROM ISRAEL TO ASSAD?)
As we all know by now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been cozying up to Syrian President Bashar Assad, and we also know that three House Republicans have visited Syria this week to meet with him, too.
Liberal bloggers who have used the “f-bomb” and gotten away with it
John Hawkins has a link roundup of liberal bloggers who have used the “f” word (and no, I don’t mean the slang word for sex) and have, of course, been able to do it free and clear without any condemnation from their fellow lefty bloggers. Now, contrast that to the right taking one of their own to task for doing so, and we have yet another glaring instance of a Toldjah So.
Nutroots city limits: the ‘good news is bad news’ fallacy and general thoughts on their negativity
It never fails to amaze me how the far left Nutroots inhabitants will go in order to spin positive developments, especially as they relate to the war on terror, as bad news. I know why they do it, of course – and that’s to try and paint the President as an ineffective and incompetent war on terror leader. Since 9-11, the President has generally been viewed favorably on issues related to fighting the war on terror (with the exception this year being his handling of Iraq, which has been spun into a ‘disaster’ by Democrats) while Democrats have justifiably been looked upon as weak on fighting terror.
