Wednesday open thread
Gonna be another busy day for me today, which is probably for the best as I’m still formulating my thoughts from last night’s debate, am still angry as hell at the Obama campaign’s (and some of his far left supporters) playing of the race card after the debate, and am irked at the whole debate “process” in terms of how certain folks use them as their major determining factor in order to help them make their final decision. More on that later.

You’ve got to be kidding me

As The Usual Suspects continue to weigh in with their screams of outrage, a more serious discussions on Obama’s remarks have been going on at places like NRO’s Corner, where several of the writers there are urging the McCain campaign to move on from this controversy and stop routinely treating Gov. Palin like she’s a helpless victim.
Democrats and “wedge issues”
For months back during the 2004 campaign, we heard from media elites about how “BushCo” were using so-called “wedge issues” like gay marriage and illegal immigration in an effort to deliberately divide the American electorate for purposes of winning the election in the fall. The ‘slimy’ GOP would stop at nothing, they insinuated, to keep their power both in Congress and the WH.
