Little Green Footballs has a video up showing claiming (see update below) that Bush, too, bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, as if that’s a double standard on the right’s part for making fun of Obama and his bow. It isn’t a double-standard on OUR part, it’s a double-standard on the left’s part, and that’s what we’re pointing out (most of us, anyway).
I just discovered that I rank 81st out of 100 on Wikio’s Top Political blogs list. That link currently takes you to the January list, but Robert Spencer has a sneak peek at the February list (so far – I guess?) and I’ve moved up three spots to 81. I had no idea such a list existed, but there are some damn fine blogs out there who are also on the list and I feel honored to be among them. So, if you’re a blogger/writer who has been linking to me, thank you! And, of course, if you’re a regular reader, thank you as well Traffic’s been up lately. That’s always a good thing!
I’m happy to report this morning that the comments editor issue in IE has been resolved, so if you view this site in IE now you can edit your comments for up to ten minutes after you post them (the feature was already working in other browsers).
The investigation into why the comments editor no longer works in IE has produced concrete results, via the very patient steveegg. He spent a lot of time tonight trying to figure out what the problem was, and as it turns out, the comments editor doesn’t work because it’s clashing with another plugin I have called “Image Rotator Pro” which allows me to have rotating header images at my scheduling. If I disable that plugin, the comments editor works in IE again, but at the same time my (Stevie Nicks? *grin*) header disappears.
FYI, still no resolution on the comments editor plug-in dilemma. I’ve gotten quite a few emails from people who miss that feature … believe me, I’m missin’ it, too. I’ve even tried installing earlier versions, which work the same but don’t resolve the problem. I’m thinking about trying to install a comment “preview” plug-in different from the one we have here now. Whereas this one let’s you preview it below the screen where you are typing it, the one I am looking at would give you a “preview” button to click in order to view your comment before it’s posted. If the coding doesn’t look too tricky on that one, I’ll try to install it as a short-term fix until a resolution (if any) can be reached on the comment editor plug-in. I contacted the creator of the plug-in but that was several days ago and I’ve received no response. Ah well.
