Introducing Velvet Lair

I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce y’all to a blog I have started as a “companion” of sorts to this one. It’s called “Velvet Lair.” I started it earlier this year because 1) I have started back (after a long hiatus) to creative writing in my spare time and wanted to document my journey back to that at the blog, and 2) there are things I sometimes want to write about that don’t always fit into the political theme of this blog. You’ll know what I mean when you take a look. I sometimes write there about music, movies, human interest stories, cutesy stuff, etc. I suspect it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s fine. Site maintenance (WEDS AM UPDATE)

FYI, over the next couple of days the site will be undergoing a few minor changes, most notably the deletion of all the blogrolls off the main page. As you’ll notice, there is now a link on the link bar below the header for “Blogrolls” which will take you to a list of my collapsable/expandable blogroll. It’s pretty cool, especially for those of us who have super long blogrolls several different categories. During the course of the rest of the week I will be deleting those blogrolls off the main page (with the exception of the “Obama Links”), so don’t think the blog itself is slowly disappearing .....   [Read More]
