Via Instapundit, I read a report by Jake Tapper which discusses how Bush administration officials – and other Republican congressmen – are saying that Barack Obama did not try to interfere with Bush’s policy towards Iraq in a meeting with Iraq leaders as originally reported … because those officials and congressmen were with him.
After leading our troops, in concert with coalition forces, to achieve what the naysayers like Senator Barack Obama said would not happen, Gen. David Petraeus yesterday officially turned over command of the US military and its allies in Iraq to Gen. Ray Odierno.

Damn. If the anti-war mediots at the AP can admit it, why can’t Barack Obama?
None of us are strangers to the foolish words that have come out of (Ret) Gen. Wesley Clark’s mouth over the last several years.  During the run up to the 2004 presidential primaries, Clark declared that he was “delighted” to have the support of Bush-hater Michael Moore, and refused to condemn his hateful remarks in which he called President Bush a Vietnam war “deserter” and mocked his service in TANG.  A few months prior to that, he bumbled his way through the revelation that he praised President Bush and his administration a little over a year before slamming them during his failed run for the Democrat nomination for president.
I know. You’re probably thinking “What do I care what Lanny Davis thinks about the Iraq war?” Well, normally I would agree with you, but after reading what he wrote for the Washington Times (yes, the WaTimes), I think you’ll agree with me that his opinion is worth reading, considering he at one point was an anti-Iraq war Dem. He’s still a Dem of course, but his opinion on the Iraq war has significantly changed. Here’s a bit of what he wrote:
