… but in the continuing drama over this story, The Politico reports today that Team Obama have hit some snags on the vetting process of La Clinton’s hubster:
WaPo’s media watcher extraordinaire Howard Kurtz writes today about the types of fawning “cool, hip guy/family” articles we’ve seen routinely from the mainstream media since the election of Barack Obama, something I’ve addressed in a couple of posts here. In his piece, Kurtz first notes a short list of the types of headlines and stories he’s read since Nov. 4:
If anyone needed anymore proof of how loyal Obama is not only to unions, but to the belief that government handles things better than the private sector, you’ve got it:
The week of the election, we were treated to two fawning multi-paged sections devoted to the election of Barack Obama, with the one on Saturday the 8th having an image of him that spanned 3/4ths of the page. Yesterday, the hot story on page 1 was a glowing piece on Michelle Obama and how she had become an inspiration for black women across America. It was a nice piece, but why was it on the front page? For that matter, wouldn’t a better place for it been Parade magazine?
They mean it in a complimentary way, of course, but for those of us who aren’t into sugarcoating the liberal FDR’s massive government expansion, the comparison is anything but favorable. In fact, in me it provokes a sense of dread about what’s to come.
