In trying to place the blame for California’s Prop 8, which bans gay marriage in California, on Mormons, the NYT completely ignores contrary evidence that it was the huge number of Obama voters in CA who really tipped the scale in passing the controversial measure. In particular, black voters in CA voted 70%-30% in favor of Prop 8.
I haven’t had a chance to look at the opinion on the CSC ruling in favor of gay marriage (I plan on reading it this evening), but wanted to link up to others who have and wrote about it. National Review has several opinion pieces up today devoted to the issue, and Eugene Volokh at the Volokh Conspiracy legal blog has some thoughts on it as well.

Last year during the Foley scandal, we, unfortunately, became well acquainted with one of the left’s more notorious “heroes” Mike Rogers, who, after the Foley scandal broke – with his help – moved to target Senator Larry Craig for the purposes of outing him as a “hypocrite.” As it turns out, Craig jumped into his own pail of hot water after it surfaced last week that he was caught soliciting for sex in one of the men’s restrooms at Minneapolis International Airport. And as we know at this point, Craig has resigned, effective Sept. 30.
