Just one day after la Hillarina invoked images of “disenfranchised” Florida Election 2000 voters, talked about the Dem fight for the “Voting Rights Act” as well as their alleged fight to “end racial discrimination at the ballot box,” Florida Democrats have filed a lawsuit in federal court to force the DNC to seat the Florida delegates, and they are invoking …. the Voting Rights Act:
Not so fast, sez Hillary:
—— Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT) gave a speech on May 18th at a Commentary magazine dinner in which he talked about what has happened to his former party that was once strong on national security. In it, he praised both President Bush and John McCain, while criticizing Barack Obama’s position on unconditional direct talks, three things which will make him even more traitorous than ever in the eyes of the hardcore left. He also tried to paint Al Gore as hawkish, which is a complete fantasy, but considering how right-on he’s been about most other issues related to the GWOT, I can let that one slide.
Captain Ed details a disturbing pattern emerging amongst prominent Barack Obama supporters bashing McCain’s military record, counting three recent attacks. It’s almost as if they are working in concert with the NYT magazine, which published this little hit piece on McCain a few days ago (h/t: ST reader Fat Tone):
The buzz of the week earlier this week was the mainstream media’s news reports of how Barack Obama had a rally in Oregon that drew 75,000 people. It was an impressive story, but left out of most reports was the following information from Oregon Live about what else was going on at Portland’s Waterfront Park this past Sunday:
