Last Friday the House of Representatives held a vote on a bill titled: “Expressing the commitment of the House of Representatives to achieving victory in Iraq.”
The final vote tally was 279 yeas to 109 nays. 108 of those nays were House of Rep. Democrats. See the full results here and be sure to contact your Representative if you weren’t happy with their vote.
I see my Representative (Mel Watt) voted with the nays. Surprise surprise.
(Thanks to FT for the heads up)

That literally means…that 109 US Representatives…side with Zarqawi.
And they wonder why their Patriotism is questioned? Duh!
If they are voting against victory, does that mean that they are voting for defeat?
And one of the Republicans voting “present” was Ron Paul, the Libertarian, who always votes that way on these types of votes.
I had to correct the number of “yeas” – to whoever posted the correction (which I accidentally deleted): thanks for the heads up.
Dana,
“If they are voting against victory, does that mean that they are voting for defeat?”
Yes, they are. They don’t care how Bush is broght down. They don’t care if the US turns into a Caliphate run by an Islamofasist just as long as Bush is brought down.
Dana, I think I accidentally deleted two of your posts by mistake. Sorry about that
Sis, you only killed one, the one with the vote total change. But you know that I love you anyway!
Girl you are just going crazy with the power to delete!!!
I see my Rep. voted Nay, but Lane has always been a company ‘nay’ man.
I am just being too funny today.
Lorica Blinks!!! You best watch that love thang Dana.
Oh. to be a Californian. Terrible….
Might as well be living in an enemy state. (jk you liberls)
Bak,
I saw what was coming and left California to the “Fruits and Nuts” brigade.
I knew before I came. I came because of a woman!!!
No I’m rooted here with children… and house..
LOL Lorica – you like that laughing emoticon, don’t you? He’s a cute lil thing
WSJ in November 2005 had Democrat representatives in Congress’s approval rating at:
2005 November
Positive* 25%
Negative** 70%
70% Negative. 25 % positive. And I see it getting worse after this stunt.
In slightly related news, Troop levels are being lowered by 2,500 (13%) in Afghanistan. This even without Democrats calling for surrender in that country.
I’m starting to think that we may not be imperialist expansionists after all!
Yes I do actually. It is my favorite Emote.
That one is pretty good too.
and that one…..

Don’t worry: Mrs Pico has kept me around for 26 years, 7 months and one day, so it’s not likely she’ll let me out of the house long enough to go chasin’ after anyone else.
YAY!!! Thank God For Mrs. Pico!!!!
