Waiting for San Fran Nan to investigate Howard Dean’s “funders” in 3, 2, …

Former DNC Chair Howie Dean on the Ground Zero mosque controversy (audio from WABC-AM’s “Goodman to Go“):

NRO’s Dan Foster has a partial transcript:

“We have to understand that it is a real affront to people who lost their lives, including Muslims. That site doesn’t belong to any particular religion, it belongs to all Americans and all faiths.”

He also also suggested the “Hamosque” be moved elsewhere.

Dean is one of several prominent Democrats – including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid – who have come out in the last few days against the mosque being built two blocks from Ground Zero. I anxiously await the start of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s proposed investigation into where these Democrats “got their funding.”

Pelosi, btw, has sort of “clarified” her initial remarks about an investigation. In a statement, her office said (via Memeorandum):

“The freedom of religion is a Constitutional right. Where a place of worship is located is a local decision.

“I support the statement made by the Interfaith Alliance that ‘We agree with the ADL that there is a need for transparency about who is funding the effort to build this Islamic center. At the same time, we should also ask who is funding the attacks against the construction of the center.’

“For all of those expressing concern about the 9/11 families, we call upon them to join us in support of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act when Congress returns in September.”

Isn’t it interesting how Pelosi is always insinuating or outright suggesting that various conservative movements aren’t genuine and so they have to be “funded” in order to drum up more support? She danced this same waltz during the health care “reform” debate by repeatedly calling reform opponents who were showing up at health care townhalls part of coordinated “astroturfing” campaigns.

Of course, if she was really concerned about truly phony movements strongly aided by “outside interest groups,” she’d be all over the issue of unions & other left wing activists/thugs showing up at the health care townhalls and other related events, as well as the ones protesting across the country, militantly taking over bank lobbies, camping out at the homes of banking execs and lobbyists, the “protestors” who have been paid to protest because union help was too expensive, etc. But she doesn’t care, because to the left, their “concerns” are genuine and must be addressed, where as any concern strongly and vocally expressed by the right is anything but grassroots and instead is nothing more than coordinated mobbish “manufactured outrage” designed to “derail the Obama agenda.”

Well – they got very last part of it right, anyway.

Where’s the list to sign up for some of this “free money” that’s funding the protest of the muslim “victory mosque?”

Wherever it is, sign me up quick!

BTW, Beck had an explanation (plausible) of the name for that mosque – the “Cordova Project.” Seems as though when the muslims invaded Spain and took it over, Cordova was the de facto capital, and they built the 3rd largest mosque in the world there to celebrate their victory and stick it in the face of the Spaniards and Europe.

So why name this “The Cordova Project” if it’s simply to “build bridges” between our two cultures? Could it be to celebrate the murder of nearly 3,000 people? Good questions, Beck.

I would LOVE to slap the spit out of Pelosi’s mouth and waterboard her with it.

    Just an idea.

  3. Joseph Brown says:

I wonder if Pelosi and Reid have 2 live brain cells between them? And then there is Howard Dean….

  4. I was going to write something like “hurray for Howard Dean for saying the right thing” … and then I listened to the bit. He’s so full of PC nonsense and so wishy-washy about the whole thing it’s clear he doesn’t get it.

As for Nancy Pelosi, poor women, she’s finally gone round the bend.

Nanfran is delusional,…no wait! She is a crazy, incompetent person,..shame on her!

  6. The problem with Pelosi opening her mouth is that those who don’t know better will take her seriously. It’s one of the reasons the Democrats have any power to begin with. Their power base is ignorant of what’s really going on in the world today and will believe anything Party leaders tell them to believe.

  9. Carlos says:

No offense, bear, but it seems there are no middle east contributors there, and that’s what the State department is funding Rauf’s trip for, to get real Arab money for this poke in civilization’s eye.

  10. Don’t you worry, Carlos, the Muslim Brotherhood will be ponying up it’s share of cash through the usual Muslim “charity” front groups.

  11. Carlos says:

With every penny dedicated to advocating the violent overthrow of our government.

Such witless maroons we have “protecting” us.
