Via AP:

Jane Fonda says she would like to tour the country and speak out against U.S. involvement in Iraq, but her controversial history of Vietnam War protests leaves her with “too much baggage.”

“I wanted to do a tour like I did during the Vietnam War, a tour of the country,” the Oscar-winning actress said Monday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “But then Cindy Sheehan filled in the gap, and she is better at this than I am. I carry too much baggage.”

That’s the understatement of the year.

In other news of the Hollyweird, singer Neil Young has recorded an entire album that focuses on his opposition to the war in Iraq - the album includes a song titled “Impeach Bush”.

Hat tip for the Neil Young story: Stephen Taylor

Oh, and the much-talked about female US president show “Commander in Chief” didn’t do so well in its return last week after a Jan-March hiatus. It’s on the bubble in terms of whether or not it will be renewed for a second season.

Well, it’s another war…and seeing as how we’ve got the liberal protester thing covered, what’s a war without protest music? Neil Young races to fill in the market demand with a song entitled “Impeach the President”:It started as a rumour…

  2. Cindy Sheehan - “Bush is a Traitor”

During her Friday appearance at Camp Casey, Cindy Sheehan put aside the solemnity of Good Friday to engage in some rhetoric throwing.

  2. It is hard to believe that anyone actually thinks momhan is doing a good job, at whatever it is that she thinks she’s doing, apart from not missing any meals or facetime. Maybe that’s what Hanoi Jane meant when she said that Cindy filled in the gap.3:-o

  3. Yeah, the peace side gets bigger and bigger, that must be why all those hundreds of thousands turned out at the last rallies. Oh wait, it was hundreds, not hundreds of thousands..

  4. Folks, say what you will about Jane Fonda - at least she was babelicious in her day (all T & A, no brains). Cindy Sheehan by contrast looks like ET, which is one reason the “peace” movement is shrinking (appearance is everything, reality is a Bushitler scheme).

I think that it was columnist George Will who speculated that Mother Sheehan is actually a Republican mole designed to discredit the peacenicks. What say ye?

  6. Come on Jane, go for it!! Maybe you could pose with an RPG, pretending to aim it at an American convoy. Or maybe you could pose with an IED detonator and some of Al Zarqawis “freedom fighters”

The woman is a pig and a traitor and should have been arrested immediately upon her return from North Vietnam. Of course, to some people that was just exercising her free speech rights and had nothing to do with treason, right?

  7. Mwalimu, she still is all T&A with no brains. She’s been a constant, always wrong.

  8. PCD I still can not look at her she should have been executed for treason upon return to the country she hated the U.S. She is not the only one that is constantly wrong it’s the peace at any price idiots that are and have been on the wrong side of history. All these Neville Chamberlain wanabe’s running around like the missing link Sheehan Oh I’m sorry she’s filling in the gap not a missing link.

  10. Mwalimu, she still is all T&A with no brains.

Except that gravity has conspired to move her “T” and “A” in a southern direction. The upshot is: I doubt that Hollywood would want her to “reveal her assets” (pun semi-intended) again.

All of this is (of course) a Bushitler plot. Impeach Bushitler now!

Seriously, why can’t today’s peacenicks get some uber-babes in their ranks? We have them on our side, and the 60’s “peace” marches were hip-deep in them. After all, Mother Sheehan and Co. cannot be considered rational under any circumstances, but why can’t we be forced to endure the Left’s raving lunacy from someone who does not look like a refugee from The Munsters?

  11. - Well the name of the game is box office reciepts, and some contacts of mine in Hollyweird say that the recent spate of idiotic public political pronouncements by people who have never missed a meal in their limosines, got a bunch of talent managers, and agents shorts in a bunch. Several of them have been to told in no uncertain terms to STHDASTFU, so to speak.

    - Wonder whats up with Babs the last few weeks. she seems to be keeping a low profile. Maybe Hellery let her know she wasn’t too happy about the unchaperoned visits Babsy baby had with slick Willey.

    - Jane “Ho-of-Chi-min” Fruitcake, should be burried in Fwance when she buys the farm. She should hang her head in shame. There wasn’t much more she could have done to dishonor her Dad, and he was a hell of a guy.

    - Hollywierd Liberal Dimwits on parade.

    - Bang **==

  14. Speaking of protesting the war. Read this about those generals. The left is making the same tired arguments. They disagreed with going to war. 3 years later. Imagine that they are stuck on stupid.

  15. If, I ever feel bad about my kids, I consider poor Henry (He struck me as a mans man). Sort of puts things in perspective.

  16. Here is a brief history of Henry Fonda’s WW2 Service: Previously, he and Stewart had helped raise funds for the defense of Britain from the Nazis. Fonda served for three years, initially as a Quartermaster 3rd Class on the destroyer USS Satterlee; he was later commissioned as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in Air Combat Intelligence in the Central Pacific and won a Presidential Citation and the Bronze Star.

Compare some of the actors of that period especially Jimmy Stewart’s service to his country with the wimpy, pompous, self-centered, self-important actors of today.

  17. The war in Iraq was stupid, unnecessary, illegal and pre-emptive. It had nothing to do with getting bin Laden and preventing terrorism. Chalibi and the other neo-con/armageddonist/Zionists sold this war by lying and creating fear. The time is fast approaching that anyone who supports the war in Iraq will have their motives questions. Peace
